About Me
I'm a software engineer/ business analyst/ enterprise architect with a deep interest in design and UX/UI.
I have worked many years in large corporations, maintaining and creating large and small, old and new IT systems, where my role has been anything to do with finding out what should be built.
I usually call the role a business analyst - but it could just as well be IT architect, enterprise architect, solution architect or a number of other job titles.”
No matter what the role is called my main goal has always been to find out what the users/customers really need, more so than what they say they want.
My job is also to make it work as well as possible for the user.
If I can assist in making
it look good - it's a bonus.
I've done everything from process definitions, through business cases, requirements definition and management, prototyping and wireframing, business and information modelling to test management and user acceptance testing.
However, I don't code. Not really, I can hack a webpage or two in HTML, CSS and PHP, but that's about my limit. My mind is not of the algoritmic kind. I can read and review most common programming languages and can usually figure out what the code is supposed to do, e.g. PHP, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, C, C++, .NET, Pascal.
I have also built a few websites, pro bono. I do this from a genuine interest in graphical and web design.
Besides presenting myself I also use this site to test and improve my webdesign/development skills, which means it might change appearance now and then. The current frontpage is an experiment in manually implemented responsive grids.
